Made of aluminum (AL), it is the most suitable choice for navigation in salty and brackish waters, where electrochemical activity is especially aggressive. Its reinforced design guarantees a greater active mass of sacrificial material compared to standard disc anodes, prolonging the effective protection cycle between replacements. The correct installation of this anode on the rudder disc is essential to avoid accelerated corrosion of the rudder itself, its bolts and the stock, components whose repair or replacement is extraordinarily expensive.
