The coupler is an essential mechanical component in Volvo Penta and OMC marine transmission systems. This part transfers the rotary motion of the engine to the propeller shaft, allowing flexible connection between the gearbox and the shaft line. Its main function is to dampen torsional vibrations and compensate for small angular misalignments, guaranteeing smooth and efficient operation of the propeller.
