Star Brite cleaner and protector for inflatables and boat fenders acts directly on rubber, vinyl and PVC surfaces, predominant materials in inflatable boats, semi-rigid boats (RIB) and docking fenders. Its high-performance formula dissolves and removes embedded dirt, dock scuffs, marine grime and surface rust stains that accumulate on float tubes and fenders exposed to the saline environment. After cleaning, it deposits a resistant protective layer that acts as a barrier against ultraviolet radiation, one of the main agents of degradation and premature aging of rubber and vinyl under conditions of nautical use. When to apply this product?

The most obvious sign that an inflatable boat's tubes or fenders need treatment is the appearance of grayish or yellowish discoloration, loss of shine, dark spots from rubbing on pontoons, and a dull or slightly sticky surface texture, all symptoms of oxidation and UV degradation. It is recommended to apply this cleaner at the beginning and end of each nautical season, as well as after periods of intense exposure to the sun or saltpeter. A preventive and periodic application significantly extends the life of the tubes and fenders, preventing cracks that can compromise buoyancy or require costly repairs.
