Function and technical context

This protective spray acts as an anti-corrosion barrier and moisture displacer on the external components of the outboard or inboard engine, creating a protective film that prevents oxidation induced by the marine environment. It works directly on the engine's electrical system - connectors, terminals, starters and alternators - as well as on metal surfaces exposed to salt water, suspended salt and condensation. Its periodic application is key to maintaining the integrity of the ignition and power circuits, since galvanic corrosion in marine environments can render components unusable in a matter of weeks if not properly treated. In addition, it lubricates joints and light friction points, facilitating disassembly for future maintenance work.

When to apply this product?

Its use is recommended every time a seasonal inspection is carried out, especially at the beginning and end of the sailing period, when the engine has been exposed to high humidity conditions or sailing in salt water. The symptoms that indicate that the engine needs protective treatment are: appearance of surface rust on screws and connectors, difficulties in starting due to corrosion in the electrical terminals, or cables and terminals with whitish deposits typical of saltpeter. Applying this spray preventively after each departure in areas with high salinity prolongs the useful life of the electrical and mechanical components and avoids costly breakdowns that can leave the boat immobilized in port.
