Function and technical context

2T TCW3 oil acts as a simultaneous lubricant and coolant in water-cooled two-stroke outboard engines and boats, mixing directly with petrol during combustion. Its formulation meets the TCW3 (Two-Cycle Water-Cooled) specification of the NMMA, the reference standard for two-stroke marine engines, guaranteeing effective protection of pistons, rings and bearings under the demanding conditions of marine use. Without adequate lubrication in engines of this type, premature wear of internal parts accelerates drastically, which can lead to engine seizure, sudden loss of power or irreparable breakdowns while sailing. The 3.8 liter format is especially practical for boats with a mixing tank or oil injection system that require frequent replenishments during the season.

When to replace or replace this oil?

In engines with an independent oil tank (injection system), it is advisable to monitor the level before each outing and top up when the reserve indicator activates; Failure to do so can lead to insufficient lubrication in tenths of a second, with catastrophic consequences for the engine.
