Description
The Mercury 806188 Collar Anode is a cathodic sacrificial component designed to protect MerCruiser engine saltwater cooling systems against galvanic corrosion. This anode is mounted in a collar shape around pipes and submerged components, dissipating the electrochemical potential that degrades noble metals such as bronze and stainless steel. Its periodic replacement is essential to maintain the structural integrity of the propulsion system, guaranteeing optimal performance of the powertrain in high salinity marine environments.
