Volvo Anode 3852970 for SX Drive Propulsion Systems
The Volvo 3852970 sacrificial anode is an essential cathodic protection component in Volvo Penta's SX Drive propulsion systems. This anode acts as a galvanic element to prevent electrochemical corrosion on submerged aluminum and stainless steel components, significantly extending the life of the propulsion unit in saline and freshwater environments.
Designed specifically for Volvo Penta SX transmissions, this anode is integrated into the passive protection system of the powertrain, ensuring uniform and controlled corrosion of the sacrificial material instead of corrosion of critical equipment parts.
