Description
Function and Technical Context
This 3/8" female connector is part of the quick-connect fuel circuit system in Suzuki 140 HP outboard engines, acting as a sealed connection point between the fuel hose and the engine intake. Its function is to ensure a hermetic seal that prevents both fuel leakage and air entry into the circuit, conditions that directly compromise vessel performance and safety. Manufactured to precise tolerances to couple with 3/8" male connectors, its structural integrity is essential to maintain constant fuel pressure and flow to the carburetor or fuel injection system. A damaged component can cause power loss, rough starting, or, in severe cases, fire risk from fuel spillage in the engine compartment.
