VET LARGE SERIES
Description
Function and technical context
Large Series Marine Grease (ref. TEN03511) is a specialized lubricant designed for application on mechanical components of boats subjected to high load conditions, marine humidity and continuous exposure to salt water. It acts as a protective barrier on joints, bearings, axles, steering pivots, universal joints and grease points of the transmission and auxiliary systems, reducing friction and wear between moving metal surfaces. Its correct application is essential to preserve the integrity of the steering and propulsion mechanisms, since the absence or degradation of grease can cause seizure of parts, accelerated corrosion and structural failures in critical components. The large series format is designed for nautical workshops, larger vessels or owners who carry out intensive and periodic maintenance of their fleet.
When to replace or replace this part?
Nautical grease must be replaced at each seasonal inspection or whenever dryness, discoloration, the presence of water or metal particles at the lubrication points are detected, unequivocal signs that it has lost its lubricating and protective properties. On boats that operate in salt water or with intensive use, it is recommended to check and reapply grease at all greasing points every 100-150 hours of navigation or at least once a season before launching. Keeping all points properly greased is the most effective preventive measure to avoid costly replacements of axles, bearings or steering components while sailing.
