Function and technical context

This silentblock cover gasket is part of the outboard motor mounting and damping system, acting as a sealing element on the anti-vibration mount cover. It is recommended to inspect it during each seasonal maintenance and replace it if there is any sign of hardening, cracking or loss of elasticity. Replacing it preventively during disassembly of the assembly prevents accumulated humidity from accelerating the deterioration of the silent block and nearby metal structures, avoiding higher-cost interventions.
