Function and technical context

This New Saturn Multi-D stainless steel propeller, with a diameter of 13.50 inches and pitch 15, is the propulsion element that converts the power of the outboard motor into effective thrust on the water. It works directly in the propulsion system, transmitting engine torque to the aquatic environment through its blades designed to turn right. Stainless steel gives it much higher resistance to corrosion and impacts than aluminum propellers, making it the usual choice for boats that operate in demanding conditions or intensive use. A propeller in poor condition compromises propulsion efficiency, increases fuel consumption and can generate vibrations that deteriorate the tailshaft and the bearings of the drive unit.
