Function and technical context

This stainless steel propeller with a 13.3×17 pitch and right-hand rotation is part of the outboard propulsion system, being the component responsible for converting the rotating energy of the tail shaft into thrust on the water. Made of high-strength stainless steel, the Multi-D New Saturn series offers greater rigidity and durability compared to aluminum propellers, better supporting impacts with submerged objects and maintaining the geometry of the blades under demanding conditions of use. A step 17 provides a theoretical advance per revolution suitable for medium-high power engines, helping to optimize the engine's working speed and fuel consumption. When to replace this part?

The most common symptoms that indicate the need to change the propeller are: abnormal vibrations at different speeds, loss of maximum speed without apparent cause in the engine, excessive cavitation or visibly bent, pitted and eroded blades. It is recommended to visually inspect the propeller at the beginning and end of each season, paying special attention to the leading edge of the blades and the hub.
