The propeller is the final component of the propulsion chain: it transforms engine torque into hydraulic thrust to move the boat. Made from HR Titan 3 series stainless steel, this unit offers superior marine corrosion and impact resistance over conventional aluminum alloys, making it especially suitable for heavy saltwater use. With a diameter of 14.8 inches and a pitch of 20 inches in counterclockwise rotation, it is designed for counter-rotating installations or specific configurations that require counterclockwise direction. When to replace this part?

The most common symptoms of a damaged propeller are abnormal vibrations in the shaft, loss of top speed, increased fuel consumption and visible or audible cavitation during navigation. Bent, chipped or deformed blades on the leading edge are unmistakable signs of immediate replacement. It is recommended to visually inspect the propeller at each seasonal beaching and replace it preventively if there is any sign of structural damage, since a propeller in poor condition can transmit irregular loads to the shaft and the motor foot bearings.
