The full radice anode for 45 mm shaft is a cathodic protection element designed to be installed in the area of the tail shaft shaft, acting as a galvanic sacrifice against electrolytic corrosion that occurs when the metals of the transmission come into contact with salt or brackish water. Its function is to attract rust to itself, preserving the drive shaft, propeller hub and adjacent metal surfaces of the drive train.
