Function and technical context

The AMITA3 13×21 aluminum Multi-d propeller is the direct propulsion element that transforms the engine power into hydraulic thrust to move the boat. Mounted on the drive shaft of outboard and stern motors, it works in the aquatic propulsion system, where the rotating blades generate negative lift that propels the fluid backwards. A worn, corroded or damaged propeller drastically reduces thrust efficiency, forcing the engine to work harder to maintain speed, increasing fuel consumption and operating temperature.

When to replace this part?

Aluminum propellers show visible symptoms of wear: erosion on the leading edges of the blades, pitting due to cavitation, bending of tips or excessive vibration during navigation.
