Its function is to absorb the differences in axial and angular alignment between both axles, transmitting the engine torque fluidly and continuously to the propeller without significant energy losses. The internal elastomer of the assembly cushions the torsional vibrations generated during the combustion cycles, thus protecting the bearings of the reduction box and the seals of the tail shaft.
