Zinc Transom Anode for Mercruiser Engines
The transom anode 821631Q1 is a cathodic protection part designed to safeguard the aluminum structure of the transom and submerged metal components against galvanic corrosion. Made of high purity zinc, this anode is preferably sacrificed to prevent the deterioration of noble metals in the propulsion system. Installation is critical on boats with Mercruiser engines to maintain the structural integrity of the transom and extend engine life.
