The aluminum anode ref. 832934 is a sacrificial part designed to protect the trim bracket components of Volvo Penta engines against electrolytic corrosion. This anode is mounted directly on the trim structure, where it dissolves progressively to prevent deterioration of adjacent metal parts exposed to salt water.
