The REC70720 Filter Remover is a shop tool designed specifically to remove oil and coolant filters on marine engines without applying uneven pressure that could warp or crack the filter housing. It acts directly on the lubrication system and the cooling system, two critical circuits whose correct conservation determines the useful life of the engine. Its universal grip design covers a range of diameters between 65 and 110 millimeters, allowing its use on a wide range of outboard, inboard and stationary motors used in both recreational boats and professional fleets. Having the appropriate extractor reduces the risk of oil spills during filter changes and avoids damaging the fittings and sealing surfaces, operations in which inappropriate tooling can generate subsequent leaks with serious consequences for the engine.

When to use or review this tool?

If during disassembly the filter presents excessive resistance or the hexagon of the tool shows signs of wear or loss of grip, it is advisable to check the condition of the extractor before continuing to avoid slipping that could damage the filter or the housing.
