Function and technical context

The injector cleaner acts directly on the fuel supply system, dissolving the varnish, resin and carbon deposits that accumulate in the petrol injector nozzles with prolonged use. These deposits reduce flow and alter the fuel spray pattern, resulting in poor air-fuel mixture and deteriorated engine performance. Its periodic application keeps the injectors in optimal opening and closing conditions, guaranteeing precise fuel atomization in each combustion cycle. A clean injection system is essential to preserve the thermal efficiency of the petrol outboard or inboard engine and prevent damage to sensitive valve train and combustion chamber components.

When to use this product?

The most common symptoms that indicate that the injectors need cleaning are: irregular or unstable idle, jerks or hesitation in acceleration, increased fuel consumption, difficulty in cold starting and the presence of black smoke or the smell of unburned fuel in the exhaust gases. It is recommended to apply this injector cleaner at least once per nautical season, ideally during maintenance at the beginning or end of the season, and also after prolonged periods of inactivity in which the fuel may have left residues in the injection circuit. Preventive treatment with the GE21204 product avoids costly ultrasonic cleaning or replacing injectors in a specialized workshop.
