Function and technical context

This diesel additive acts directly on the fuel supply system, improving the quality of diesel throughout the chain that goes from the tank to the combustion chamber. Its chemical formulation attacks carbon deposits accumulated in the injectors and exhaust system, restoring fuel atomization and allowing more complete and efficient combustion. By stabilizing fuel chemistry for long periods—up to two years—it is especially valuable on vessels with seasonal use, where diesel can degrade in the tank during the winter months. In addition, it incorporates agents that neutralize the water present in the fuel, eliminating the environment conducive to the growth of bacteria and fungi that clog filters and damage fuel pumps.

When to use this additive?

The most common symptoms that indicate that the diesel fuel system needs treatment include difficult cold starts, black or excessive smoke from the exhaust, progressive loss of power and unstable idling, all signs of partially clogged injectors or degraded fuel. It is recommended to add this additive at each fuel fill or, at least, at the beginning and end of each nautical season, taking advantage of the last refueling before wintering so that the product acts on the stored fuel. Its regular preventive use significantly reduces the maintenance costs of the injection system and prevents navigation breakdowns caused by contaminated fuel or bacteria.
