The Volvo 861575 belt tensioner is a critical component of the timing system of Volvo Penta MD, TMD, TAMD and MS series engines. This original factory replacement maintains the correct tension of the drive belt, ensuring efficient transmission of power from the crankshaft to the engine's auxiliary systems, such as the alternator, water pump and compressor. Its progressive wear can cause belt slippage, loss of electrical charge and overheating of the cooling circuit.
