Star Brite STA85932 Non-Slip Deck Cleaner is specifically formulated to target the textured and grooved surfaces of boat decks, where organic dirt, sea salt, algae and grease stains become trapped in the non-slip reliefs and are especially difficult to remove with conventional products. Its formula works by penetrating embedded dirt without attacking existing protective treatments: it does not remove previously applied wax or polish, making it compatible with comprehensive roof maintenance. Furthermore, after rinsing, it deposits a protective layer that repels dirt and makes it difficult for new stains to adhere, prolonging the clean cycle between cleanings. The absence of harmful chemicals makes it safe for both the user and the marine environment, meeting the requirements for use in port areas and docks.

When to use this product?

It is recommended to apply this non-slip deck cleaner at the beginning and end of each sailing season, as well as after periods of prolonged anchoring, crossings in waters with a high presence of algae or intense exposure to saline sprays, times when textured surfaces accumulate biofilm and mineral deposits that reduce the anti-slip effectiveness and the general appearance of the deck. If the cover presents darkened areas, a sticky feel or visible loss of texture due to dirt accumulation, it is a sign that the treatment cannot be postponed any longer. Periodic maintenance with this product prevents deposits from mineralizing and requiring aggressive abrasives that could damage the gelcoat or synthetic teak finishes.
