Function and technical context

Canvas Cleaner with PTEF is specifically formulated for the deep cleaning of awnings, tops, deck canvases and technical textile surfaces exposed to the elements on boats. PTEF technology (polytetrafluoroethylene in colloidal dispersion) acts as a protective agent that, in addition to eliminating embedded dirt, leaves a layer of protection on the fiber that repels water, sea salt and the accumulation of fungi and mold. Its regular use maintains the structural integrity of technical fabrics, prolongs its useful life and preserves its aesthetic appearance, something especially relevant in environments with high salinity and continuous UV exposure such as nautical environments.

When to apply this product?

The clearest signs that the canvas needs treatment are the appearance of greenish or black stains from fungi and algae, the hardening of the fiber, the loss of water repellency or the accumulation of salt and dust that does not disappear with a simple rinse. It is recommended to apply the cleaner at the beginning and end of each nautical season, as well as after prolonged periods of inactivity or after crossings in conditions of strong salt spray. Preventive maintenance with this product prevents premature deterioration of awnings and canopies, whose replacement involves a much higher cost than periodic treatment.
