Function and technical context

This 650 ml waterproofing and protector is specifically formulated for technical fabrics for nautical use, acting as a water-repellent barrier on the surface of the fiber without obstructing its breathability. Its field of application includes boat tents, poops, sail covers, awnings and canvases subjected to conditions of continuous marine exposure: rain, environmental humidity and splashes. The formula has been developed to be safe with high-end fabrics such as Sunbrella®, as well as any other type of technical fabric, guaranteeing that it does not alter the color or feel of the treated material. Keeping the canvas and awnings waterproofed is essential to prevent the penetration of moisture, the appearance of mold and the premature deterioration of the fabrics, significantly prolonging the useful life of the boat's protective elements.

When to apply this product?

The clearest sign that a nautical fabric has lost its repellent capacity is when water stops forming drops and begins to soak the surface instead of sliding over it, which also encourages the appearance of moisture stains and fungus. It is recommended to reapply the waterproofing treatment at the beginning of each nautical season and whenever the fabric has been washed with cleaners, as the cleaning process can reduce the effectiveness of previous treatments. Preventively applying this protector before the first symptoms of saturation appear is the most efficient practice: it avoids costly repairs or replacement of canvas and guarantees the protection of the interior elements of the boat against leaks.
