Function and technical context

Liquid Rubbing Compound Heavy is a high-performance abrasive compound designed for the restoration and deep polishing of fiberglass, gelcoat and nautical paint surfaces. It works by removing severe oxidations, swirl marks, superficial scratches and embedded stains that conventional products are not able to treat. Its coarse grain formulation works on the surface layer of the worn gelcoat, returning shine and chromatic uniformity to hulls and decks exposed to marine weather. Proper maintenance of boat surfaces not only preserves aesthetics, but also protects the integrity of the laminate from moisture and ultraviolet radiation.

When to use this product?

The use of this rubbing compound heavy is recommended when the gelcoat presents advanced oxidation with obvious loss of gloss, dull or whitish color, or when there are marks and scratches that cannot be removed with conventional fine-grain polishers. It is especially indicated at the beginning or end of the nautical season, as part of the annual maintenance of the hull and exposed surfaces. To obtain the best result, it is advisable to complete the process with a finishing polisher and a protective wax once the abrasive phase is finished, thus guaranteeing long-lasting protection against marine agents.
