Function and technical context

The Champion RJ8C spark plug is the element responsible for generating the electrical spark that ignites the air-fuel mixture inside the combustion chamber of the petrol outboard or inboard engine. It works directly in the ignition system, synchronized with the electronic or magneto ignition, and must continuously withstand the extreme conditions of pressure and temperature typical of each explosion cycle. A damaged spark plug causes incomplete or irregular combustion, which results in difficult starts, loss of power, high fuel consumption and possible long-term damage to the piston or combustion chamber. When to replace this part?
