The SHU282 boat sponge is a naval cleaning and maintenance element designed for the care of surfaces in marine environments, where constant exposure to salt water, fuel, oil and organic waste requires materials with high chemical resistance and durability. Its use covers both the interior of the cabin and deck and the cleaning of the hull, engine compartments and other surfaces on board. When to replace this part?

The sponge must be replaced when it shows visible signs of deterioration such as disintegration of the material, loss of elasticity, permanent impregnation of hydrocarbons or persistent bad odor that indicates saturation of marine debris that is impossible to remove with regular washing. It is recommended to check its condition at the beginning and end of each navigation season, replacing it preventively if it has accumulated intensive use during the campaign.
