Description
Passive cathodic protection using zinc anodes is an essential system in marine propulsion to prevent galvanic corrosion in submerged components. This kit is specifically formulated for the Volvo DP 290C dynamic propulsion, guaranteeing uniform distribution of the protection current throughout the propulsion area through controlled electrochemical sacrifice of the anode material.
Zinc acts as a protective agent for more noble metals present in the structure of the propulsion system, preventing accelerated degradation of critical components exposed to saline electrolytes.
