Volvo 852835 Aluminum Anode for Transom Propellers

The Volvo 852835 aluminum anode is a cathodic protection component designed specifically for transom tail thrusters in Volvo Penta propulsion systems. Its function is to electrochemically sacrifice itself to protect against galvanic corrosion the critical areas of aluminum in contact with salt or brackish water, significantly extending the useful life of the transom structure in recreational and professional boats operating in aggressive marine environments.

This anode is compatible with single (SP) and double (DP) propulsion configurations, being an essential piece of the cathodic defense system in AQ, TAMD, KAMD, KAD, TMD, MD, AD, DP and SP series engines, covering more than 120 different models from the Swedish manufacturer.
