Description

Function and technical context

The RUBEX NS3-E 14x19 stainless propeller is the propulsion element that transforms the engine's power into thrust through the controlled displacement of water. With a 14-inch diameter and 19-inch pitch, it works directly on the marine drive system, connected to the output shaft of the outboard motor or stern drive. Its four-blade stainless steel design ensures structural resistance in saline environments and maintains hydrodynamic efficiency even in continuous navigation at cruising speed. Right rotation (clockwise rotation as seen from the stern) is the standard configuration for most medium displacement petrol and diesel engines, optimizing propulsive performance without requiring mechanical reconfiguration.

When to replace this part?

A worn or damaged propeller is manifested by progressive loss of thrust, reduction in maximum speed, abnormal shaft vibration and high fuel consumption even at low speeds. It is recommended to visually inspect the propeller at the beginning of each sailing season, looking for cracks, deformations, corrosion pits or dents on the blades. Preventive replacement of the propeller every two or three years in intense use avoids unexpected breakdown on long voyages and guarantees maximum propulsive efficiency; In stainless steel, this durability is considerably extended compared to standard alloys.
