Description

Function and technical context

The INOX Rubex NS3-E 14.5×15 left-hand turning propeller is the propeller responsible for transforming the power of the marine engine into directional movement and traction of the boat. Mounted on the transmission shaft, it works within the marine propulsion system, where its blades generate hydraulic thrust by accelerating the water. Left-hand rotation allows its integration into motors specifically configured for this direction of rotation, guaranteeing mechanical synergy and eliminating vibrations derived from rotational misalignments. Made of high-strength stainless steel, it offers exceptional durability in salt water, where corrosion is the main threat to conventional propellers.

When to replace this part?

Symptoms of wear or damage to the propeller include progressive loss of power, abnormal vibrations during navigation, cavitation noise during acceleration, or visible damage to the blades (cracks, active corrosion, deformation). It is recommended to inspect the propeller at the beginning of each sailing season and periodically review the condition of the blades during preventive maintenance. Replacing a damaged propeller preventatively prevents catastrophic transmission failures and reduces the risk of being stranded at sea.
