Description

Function and technical context

The Rubex 3-E 14.5x19 aluminum propeller is the direct propulsion element of your boat, transforming the power of the outboard motor or sterndrive into displacement and control of the hull. With its three blades of hydrodynamic geometry, it generates the necessary thrust for navigation in cruising regime, balancing performance and fuel efficiency in medium-power engines. The clockwise rotation direction is specifically designed for propulsion systems where the tail shaft rotation follows this direction, guaranteeing maximum torque transmission without cavitations. Its aluminum alloy construction keeps the weight contained in the stern area, a critical factor in recreational boats where passenger seating and load distribution directly affect stability and maneuverability.

When to replace this part?

A worn or damaged propeller is manifested by progressive loss of maximum speed, excessive vibration in the tiller, abnormal noise or visible cavitation during acceleration (bubbles in the water). Inspect the propeller every sailing season: the blades may suffer from erosion, corrosion pits in aluminum or small cracks after impacts with stones or submerged wood. Preventively replacing a worn propeller avoids overloading of the engine, premature wear of shaft bearings and costly breakdowns far from port; In addition, a propeller in good condition maintains optimal fuel consumption and prolongs the useful life of your propeller.
