Volvo 12OS 120SB Zinc Anode — Cathodic Protection for Marine Diesel Engines
The zinc anode is an essential cathodic protection component in Volvo Penta marine propulsion systems. Its primary function is to electrochemically sacrifice itself to prevent galvanic corrosion on submerged metal components, significantly extending the life of the engine and its auxiliary systems in saline and freshwater environments.
This anode is designed specifically for Volvo Penta intra-engine diesel engine architectures, ensuring dimensional and electrochemical compatibility with the cooling and protection systems of multiple propulsion families.
