Outboard clearcoat is a protective finish coating that is applied to metal and plastic engine and boat surfaces exposed to extreme marine conditions. When to replace or reapply this product?

The most common signs that the varnish has reached the end of its useful life are yellowing or cloudiness of the clear coat, localized chipping, the appearance of blisters or bubbles on the surface, and the presence of incipient rust under the coating. It is recommended to inspect and reapply marine varnish at the beginning of each nautical season or after prolonged periods of intense sun exposure, especially in coastal areas with high salinity. Maintaining a regular preventive application cycle is the most effective way to avoid major repairs and prolong the life of your outboard surfaces.
