When to replace this part?

The most common guideline for a complete small power outboard maintenance kit is an annual seasonal inspection or every 100 hours of boating, whichever comes first. Symptoms that indicate that one of the components has reached its limit include: weak or non-existent cooling water jet through the water pilot, difficult starts or misfiring under load, fuel leaks due to filter clogging, and loss of anti-corrosion protection visible on the anode worn more than 50%.
