Its main function is to prevent oil leakage at the crankshaft rotation points and other moving areas of the engine, maintaining the integrity of the lubrication circuit under constant pressure and high revolutions. This elastomeric seal creates a waterproof barrier that protects both the engine interior and the marine environment, preventing lubricant from leaking into the combustion chamber or cooling system.
