Volvo Penta Zinc Anode for Propeller Collar – Reference 3858399

The propeller collar type zinc anode is a cathodic protection component designed specifically for the Volvo Penta Sail Drive transmission line. With an outer diameter of 83 mm, this anode is installed on the propeller collar to protect ferrous and copper-bearing metals exposed to salt and fresh water against galvanic corrosion. Its function is to sacrifice itself electrochemically, preventing the degradation of critical components of the marine transmission.

The high purity pure zinc composition guarantees a predictable consumption rate and consistent protection throughout the life of the propulsion system. This anode is compatible with all generations of Volvo Penta engines from small series (D1, D2) to large engines (D6) and auxiliary transmissions.
