Description
The transom bell (bell housing) is the structural component that houses the transmission group in Mercury outboard propulsion systems. This piece acts as a protective envelope for the shifting mechanism and transmission shafts, guaranteeing the tightness and correct alignment of the propulsion system with respect to the axis line of the hull.
The ALPHA ONE GENE 2 model incorporates improvements to its bell design to optimize hydrodynamic efficiency and reduce turbulence in the immersion zone, critical factors for the overall performance of the propulsion unit.
