Function and technical context

Salt Off Antisalt is a specialized cleaning and protection product for marine environments that acts by eliminating sodium chloride deposits accumulated on metal, plastic and mechanical surfaces exposed to salt water. Its concentrated formulation allows you to treat both the exterior surfaces of the boat, trailers and diving equipment, as well as the internal cooling circuits of outboard engines and internal engines through a controlled rinse system. The key to its effectiveness lies in the PTEF® coating that it deposits on the treated surfaces, forming a protective barrier that inhibits galvanic corrosion and future oxidation caused by sea salt. Without regular anti-salt treatment, salt deposits progressively attack gaskets, cooling ducts, exhaust system components and drive train parts, drastically shortening the life of the engine and marine equipment in general.

When to use this product?

Symptoms indicating critical salt buildup include visible whitish deposits on metal and plastic surfaces, reduced cooling water flow in the engine, progressive overheating, and the appearance of surface rust in areas exposed to seawater. It is recommended to apply anti-salt after each trip to sea in salty or brackish waters, and to thoroughly rinse the internal circuit of the engine at least at the end of each day of navigation. Incorporating this treatment as a preventive maintenance routine avoids costly repairs due to blockages in the cooling system or advanced corrosion in components that are difficult to replace at sea.
