Function and technical context

The Hydromarine 115x65 zinc anode acts as a sacrificial galvanic protector, absorbing electrolytic corrosion that is generated when different metals on the boat come into contact with salt or brackish water. It works within the cathodic protection system of the hull or stern, protecting propellers, shafts, eyebolts, keels and any submerged metal element. Made of high purity zinc, this type of anode is especially indicated for use in seawater and brackish water, where the electrochemical potential of zinc makes it the reference material.
