Description
Sacrificial anodes constitute an essential passive cathodic protection system in marine propulsion systems. This kit provides the necessary elements to protect the submerged components of the Volvo Penta 280 propeller against galvanic corrosion, preventing the progressive deterioration of noble metals exposed to marine electrolyte. Periodic replacement of the anodes ensures continuity of cathodic protection and prolongs the life of the propulsion system.
In salt and brackish waters, where corrosive activity is greatest, systematic renewal of anodes is especially critical to maintain the structural and functional integrity of submerged engine components.
