Description
The CMSGYN261 zinc anode is an essential sacrificial component in Yanmar marine engine cooling systems. Its main function is to protect the metal parts of the engine against galvanic corrosion through preferential oxidation, avoiding structural damage to liners, cylinder heads and salt water circuits that result in loss of performance and premature failures. Installed in salt water cooling circuits, this anode acts as a sacrificial electrode protective barrier, significantly prolonging the useful life of the internal components of the marine engine by neutralizing accelerated oxidation processes typical of the marine environment.
