This trim piston plug is an essential component in the hydraulic trim and tilt system of Yamaha outboard motors. It acts as a hermetic seal in the hydraulic trim cylinder, maintaining the necessary pressure for the correct functioning of the mechanism that regulates the angle of attack of the propeller with respect to the hull. Its integrity is essential to avoid losses of hydraulic fluid, which would compromise the vertical adjustment capacity of the engine and could lead to serious problems with maneuverability, safe navigation and hydrodynamic behavior of the boat.
When to replace this part?
