This repair kit allows for the complete rehabilitation of the centrifugal water pump that drives coolant through the marine engine cooling circuit. The water pump is the critical component of the cooling system, responsible for maintaining a constant flow of water to the engine block to dissipate the heat generated during internal combustion. Poor operation or failure of this pump causes progressive overheating of the engine, loss of power and, in extreme cases, seizure of the crankshaft with irreversible damage to cylinders and head gaskets.

When to replace this part?

Typical symptoms of water pump wear include coolant leaks around the mechanical seal, a noticeable increase in the temperature recorded on the cabin gauge, abnormal noise coming from the pump sector (squeaking or internal friction) and progressive loss of pressure in the cooling circuit. It is recommended to check the condition of the pump and its internal components at least once a year, especially after prolonged periods of navigation or any change in the thermal behavior of the engine. Preventively replacing this kit avoids forced navigation stops and significantly more expensive repairs resulting from sustained overheating.
