This gasket is part of the engine's hermetic sealing system, sealing critical connections where cooling, lubrication or fuel supply pipes converge. Its mission is to prevent fluid leaks, prevent the entry of seawater into sensitive areas and maintain tightness under pressure and continuous thermal cycles.
