Function and technical context

This 4.5 mm pin kit is part of the fixing and articulation elements used in outboard motors, where the pins act as pivots or pins in trim mechanisms, rudder, engine support and steering systems. Its function is to keep moving components subjected to continuous traction, torsion and vibration forces in the marine environment aligned and secured. Replacing worn or corroded pins is essential to preserve the mechanical integrity of the assembly, since a damaged pin can cause looseness, knocking or even the disconnection of critical parts during navigation. When to replace this part?
