The trim sensor is an essential electronic component in the tail tilt systems of Volvo Penta marine engines. This sensor detects the angular position of the trim and transmits the information to the engine control system through two connection cables, allowing the control unit to automatically regulate the height of the propeller according to the navigation conditions and the operator's instructions. Its correct operation is decisive to maintain the hydrodynamic balance of the boat, optimize fuel consumption and guarantee the performance of the propeller at different speeds and sea conditions.
