The starter motor 31100-95240 / 99999-03249 is the electrical component responsible for generating the initial rotation of the crankshaft through a toothed pinion that meshes with the crown of the flywheel, allowing the combustion engine to complete its first cycle. It works integrated into the boat's electrical starting system, coordinating with the battery, the starter relay and the contact circuit to provide the necessary torque at ignition time. A bad starter subjects the battery and wiring to repeated overloads, which can cause chain failures in the electrical circuit and leave the boat unable to start.
