Function and technical context

This maintenance kit brings together in a single set all the wear and consumption components necessary to perform a complete service on Suzuki DF20 and DF25 V2 outboard engines from 2006 onwards. The kit acts transversally on several critical engine systems: the water cooling circuit (water pump, stainless steel bushing, O-rings and pins), the ignition system (spark plug), the fuel supply (fuel filter) and the anti-corrosion protection. (anode). Having all these elements checked and in perfect condition guarantees the reliability of the engine, prevents overheating due to failure of the cooling circuit and avoids fuel interruptions due to a clogged filter. The plug washer and gasket complete the kit, ensuring tightness at the emptying and service points.

When to replace this part?

Outboard maintenance kits should be used annually or every 100 hours of boating, whichever comes first, as recommended by Suzuki for its DF series. The symptoms that indicate that one of the components included has reached the limit are varied: high engine temperature or overheating alarm (worn impeller or bushing), irregular starts or misfires (spark plug in poor condition), loss of power with full acceleration (clogged fuel filter) or visible pitting on the anode indicating depleted galvanic protection. Performing a complete service with this kit each season is the most efficient way to keep the engine in optimal condition and avoid costly breakdowns outside of port.
